Ski Camp
Welcome to the 2011 Nordic Ski Camp at Colby College
Sunday July 17 through Thursday July 21, 2011
Participants can to look forward to, great dryland training,technique and video sessions, an opportunity to get introduced to a college campus, and a chance to spend 5-days amongst central Maine’s hills and lakes. Training theory will be discussed and you will learn how to set up a training plan by the time you leave our camp. Learn the workouts that top skiers use to make them fast during the race season!
The camp is designed for skiers who will be entering freshman year of high school through high school seniors.
All skiing abilities are welcome! This year we are adding an additional coach to only coach beginning skiers.
Coaches include Colby head coach Tracey Cote and U-Maine Presque Isle Head Coach, Paul Stone. Other top regional coaches will be added based on participant numbers to keep a small coach to athlete ratio. Cost is $475 and includes food & lodging at Colby College, use of Colby athletic facilities, transportation to training sites, and all camp activities.
Registration: Mail In: $475. Complete the registration form at http://www.nensa.net/calendar/index.html?id=1075 and mail it in with a check. Minimum deposit of $100, complete payment due by July 2nd. The camp schedule is posted above. Please see for times of drop off and pick-up. Drop off will occur at Dana Hall on the Colby College Campus. Pick-up will occur at the Colby College Athletic Center. Please email with any questions.
UPDATED INFORMATION FOR CAMPERS (6-22-11)
We will be posting the finalized schedule soon. A major highlight that we are working on is a trip to Acadia for an “Adventure Race.” For those of you who have attended before, this will be a totally new and exciting experience. It will wrap up with a BBQ at Paul Stone’s summer residence. Lots of fun stuff planned!
