Camp Description

Participants can to look forward to great dryland training, technique, video sessions, an opportunity to get introduced to a college campus, and a chance to spend 5-days amongst central Maine’s hills and lakes.  Training theory will be discussed and you will learn how to set up a training plan by the time you leave our camp. Learn the workouts that top skiers use to make them fast during the race season!

The camp is designed for skiers who will be entering freshman year of high school through high school seniors. We have allowed skiers who are attending college, so please contact us if you are in this age category.

All skiing abilities are welcome! We are trying something new this year to best accommodate a variety of skiing abilities.  We will have three groups that skiers can choose from.  Coaches will rotate among these three groups so you will have access to all coaches.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Advanced (Blue) – This group will be doing quality training sessions that include strength, distance, intervals, and overdistance workouts.  There will not be emphasis on lower level technique or learning to rollerski.  You need to have been doing regular training to be in this group.   For athletes of this level, it will be an opportunity to get in a great week of high quality training!

Intermediate (Silver) – This group will be able to do some quality training sessions with the advanced group and some classic and skate technique sessions.  To be in this group, you must have the fitness to run at least :45-1:00.

Beginner(White)  This group will be learning to rollerski and/or becoming more confident on their skis.  This group will focus less on the training aspects of skiing and more on learning the basics and getting up to speed on technique.  For those that are only beginning to ski, but are fit, you will be able to join either of the other groups for training sessions of your choice.  However, for those who have not been training regularly yet or if skiing is fairly new to you, this is the perfect group.
