2009 Colby Triathlon - Come Race With Us!

The Colby Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon open to anyone in Sidney, ME that starts and finishes at Colby College’s own Hume Center, a property on scenic and crystal clear Messalonskee Lake. This triathlon is a great distance and venue for beginning racers as well as more experienced racers.

The race is on Saturday, September 26th, 2009. 9:00am Race Start.

We are in the process of organizing the 5th annual Colby Triathlon. We strive to hold a great race for everyone with good music, lots of prizes, and a fun course. Please join us and stay tuned for updates through the summer.Our registration on active.com will be posted by the end of June.

NORDIC SKI CAMP AT COLBY COLLEGE NEW - check out the ski camp page if you’re interested in the Colby Nordic Ski Camp at Colby College. This is going to be a great camp for skiers of all levels with lots of fun activities and opportunities to learn the technique and training of top level racers.

Thank you for a fantastic 4th Annual Colby Triathlon — What a day to race through sun-soaked Central Maine! Results are now posted with splits and transition times. We strive to provide a high-quality event with a beautiful venue, great prizes, friendly volunteers and accurate, quickly posted results; and we hope you all had a great time.

Hats off to our overall race winners, Thomas McWalters and Erin Brennan!! Both posted impressive wins and were fun to watch.

We are also proud of all the age group winners, and the many first-time triathletes that chose to make the Colby Triathlon their first race. Congratulations to all and come back and see us next year! As always, we promise great tunes!

And remember to mark the third Saturday in September for next year’s event.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 25—–Alfond Athletic Center Lobby (Main Campus) click for directions to campus from maps.google.com

6 - 8 p.m. Packet pickup for racers. Pick up your numbers and schwag bags to avoid waiting in line on Saturday morning - if you pick up your packet and bag on Friday, you don’t need to go to the on-site registration tent on Saturday.

6:45 - 8:45 a.m. Packet Pickup for racers - keep in mind, there is no day of race registration!

6:45 - 8:45 a.m. Transition area open. You need to pick up your packet before entering the TA, because you need to show your number to get in. Bodymarking upon entrance into the TA. Bike racks, first come first serve!

9:00 a.m. Race Start

11:15 a.m. Awards for top finishers and age group winners
